Remember when Netscape introduce the BGCOLOR attribute to the BODY tag? Remember all the newbie questions about how to set background colors, how to make transparent images?

Well I have a slightly different question:

Driven by the need to maintain compliance with the HTML 4.0 Recommendation, I'm hoping to drop the use on the BGCOLOR and use Cascading Style Sheets to set the background color to white.

Now this is okay for browsers that support CSS, but browsers that don't just display the default background color.

My question is: Which browsers have a default grey background?

The ones I know about so far:

MSIE3, NN4 for Linux

Any others?
