The Complete Idiot's Guide to JavaScript - Second Edition
|

|
This book covers everything from the extreme basics to quite
complicated topics such as cookies and arrays. It is excellent if you
want to learn JavaScript and have little or no previous programming
experience, and also serves as a good reference guide. Its only
downside is that it only covers JavaScript 1.1, and so misses out on
the commands introduced with the newer version 1.2. This means that if
you're looking for the most up to date book, you should look
elsewhere. If, however, you want the most easy to follow guide around,
I would definitely start here.
