I think this is what I'm looking for, but I cannot get it to work. I've changed and added more checkboxes and when I hit the Submit button, it goes to the myPage.html but there's nothing showing up on the page.
Please give an example on adding string on the script.

After passing my form values to another page through the URL and using the location.search.substring(1) to get the string, how do I then manipulate the string to access the names and values? Thanks.

I use temporary cookies to pass information between any pages. I use a simple parser where I can send many data fields using any kind of delimited text. Seems to work very nicely.
