hi,
I tried doing what has been suggested in the answer.It works fine in IE.however, in netscape, i can open a blank window, not a window with URL on unload().

Iam using ver4.7 of netscape.
Please suggest a solution.

Works fine, unless you do a refresh (F5 in ie5), which calls the onUnload method, and therefore the alert/notification page. Therefore not so good for many users. Can we capture a refresh event?
