I tried a number of variations of:

parent.framename.document.formname.href

everyone told me it wasn't an object. I don't know why I couldn't get them to work, but this one works perfectly.

(I had it working before, but it wouldn't work under netscape so I had to back it out, and now I can't remember what I did. I'll find out tommorrow whether this works under Netscape.
