The content is the king, as you pointed out in one of your articles. It's indeed surprising to find a sentence in that article that people visit irt.org because of content and not the flashy design. True!

However, there's no point in presenting good tips and advice on design if that cannot be applied starting with your site. It would imply to Readers/Web builders that the tips are to read and enjoy and not for application.

So please use consistent and pleasant colors on your site. I am not asking you to use Flash or so, just good colors with consistency.
