Javascript Sourcebook; Gordon McComb; Wiley; ISBN 0-471-16185-3; 1996. This was the first javascript book I purchased a few years ago, and it is still referenced to now. Erm don't bother buying an old edition, but if there is an up-to-date edition available, then it would definately be worth a read.
