Feedback: What is DHTML?
Feedback on: Sent by Pankaj Kamthan on November 27, 1999 at 03:24:59: - feedback #630
Worth: Length: Technical: Comments: Good introduction; I was tempted by the space ship! :-) Few things you may want to check: 1. I am not sure if a browser-version-dependent definition is the norm. Often, a combination of HTML, CSS and a scripting language (JavaScript, VBScript) is termed DHTML. Also, termed as DOM Level 0. Furthermore, one could have DHTML in Opera, but it isn't in 4th generation. 2. "... DHTML is a collection of features that together, enable your web page to be dynamic." That seems to be a good definition. 3. I wonder why IE5 is not mentioned though it's been around for some time. 4. You may want to check piza.gif (from Tower of Pisa to be pisa.gif?). 5. language="" attribute in HTML script element is deprecated. See http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/interact/scripts.html#edef-SCRIPT . Use of type="" is recommended. Pankaj Sent by Qitara on September 13, 2000 at 16:04:34: - feedback #1750
