Q1036 How can I calculate the processor speed of the users browser?

One possible way would be to time how long it takes for the page to be rendered:

<body>
<script language="JavaScript"><!--
var time1 = new Date();
//--></script>

...

<script language="JavaScript"><!--
var time2 = new Date()

timetaken = (time2.getTime() - time1.getTime())/1000; // gives time in seconds
//--></script>
</body>
