I received the following question on the CSS FAQ:
<question>
Is there any way to center text over an image using CSS?

I have a large site with a lot of buttons, all with the same shape and color, but different text.

Rather than have a bunch of button images, I would like to have one blank button image, and center the appropriate text over it every time I need it.

I know I could set the 'top' and 'left' attributes for each specific button and line of text, but this would get tedious. Any ideas?
</question>

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
--Janus
