supports CSS, so one can define
<STYLE type="text/css">
TABLE { font-family : Arial ; }
</STYLE>
This will affect the entire table
(unfortunately, Netscape seem not to support this and many other
CSS styles).

You can provide a scolling text area within a table. The only problem is that you can not include tags.
