Have you ever seen or heard of a generic form validator?

One, for example, that would allow you to enter the name of the form - and a number of named elements - as parameters into the validation function?

This would involve iterating through an array, but it must be possible. Perhaps the failed fields could be listed in one alert?

I guess this is where JS might cross from scripting to programming?
