<hardware> (RFID) Small radio transponders or "tags" designed to be attached to items like products in a supermarket to allow the items to be identified and tracked by a remote system. Typically an RFID tag includes an integrated circuit that stores data and interfaces to the antenna, allowing the stored data to be retrieved by the remote system.
