A few web-years ago, PNG seemed to be the answer to all out graphics problems.
There were a chance that GIF would turn into a proprietary format, so work had to be done to keep PNG alive
Now, when GIF choose not to turn proprietary, isn't PNG dead?
Even though it might be a better picture format, the problem of backwards compatibility is to big to ignore, right?
Let me hear your thoughts on this issue!
